#TakeoverTuesday with Booz Allen Hamilton

People. Purpose. Passion. These are the values that drive Booz Allen Hamilton – a global consulting firm that solves management and technology problems through a combination of consulting, analytics, digital solutions, engineering, and cyber expertise. With offices and 24,000 employees around the world, Booz Allen’s sunny San Diego location has no shortage in top talent or incredible views. It’s comprised of 1,200 engineers, R&D experts, and more, who hosted #TakeoverTuesday this week to show us what it’s really like to work there.
With VIP clients, like the U.S. Navy, Booz Allen works on some really cool projects. One of its engineers gave us a sneak peek at an unmanned surface vessel (aka a boat drone), which the Navy uses to harness new capabilities into their missions. The consulting firm proudly says that much of its workforce are veterans, reservists, and spouses of service members, which provides a constant reminder of why its work is so important.
Besides doing important work and scoring on the bocce ball courts, Booz Allen employees love to give back to their community. They recently hosted 30 girls as part of their STEM Girls for Social Good volunteer initiative aimed to empower future female engineers at an early age. Learning Specialist Becca says, “I love working here because I can do my day job as a learning specialist, and then work with organizations in our community to empower change in the world.”
