Ready for some good, clean fun? Dr. Bronner’s manufactures high-quality soap that’s friendly on the skin and the environment right here in San Diego. The soap company recently hosted #TakeoverTuesday on our Instagram Stories to show us around their Vista office and manufacturing site.

Here, we meet Mike Bronner, company president and fifth generation soap-maker, whose great-great grandfather launched the family soap-making business back in 1858. The family started making soap in the United States since 1948, and hasn’t looked back since. In just 2019 so far, the company has sold 2.54 million gallons, or 3.85 Olympic-size swimming pools of liquid soap.

Senior Logistics Manager Benny is in charge of bringing in raw materials from around the world. Benny loves working here because of the company’s focus on transparent, ethical sourcing. “Not many companies can say that they know their suppliers, they know the people from where we source our products,” he says. Dr. Bronner’s prides itself on its global reach, fair-trade and environmentally-conscious projects. Social Media Specialist Stacey uses the company’s platforms to promote constructive capitalism and provide customer support. Stacey’s favorite part of working at Dr. Bronner’s in San Diego is that “our factory is 100% renewably powered” because the sun shines year-round.
