#TakeoverTuesday with Platform Science
Dec 12, 2019 - Heather Dewis
One of San Diego’s top workplaces. One of CNBC’s startups to watch. San Diego-based startup Platform Science aims to make transportation smart by connecting trucking fleets, devices, and apps. Located at the edge of La Jolla and Sorrento Valley, this company boasts 100 million miles and 100+ employees who love what they do.
The Platform Science team recently hosted #TakeoverTuesday on our Instagram Stories to show us what it’s like to work at the forefront of integrated transportation tech. Scrum Master Sam Doan says that the best part of working at Platform Science is “the opportunity to be creative in your craft.” As a scrum master, Sam gets to work on new processes, discovering what works when it is implemented with the team.
Platform Science’s diverse team of dog lovers and sports fans enjoy the best parts of San Diego, even in the office. The company values empathy, resourcefulness, and transparency, leading by example through its Elements of Success Wall which showcases employees who go above and beyond in their work. Teams here also enjoy a stocked kitchen and energizing drinks on tap, which begs the question – cold brew or kombucha?
