Clairemont Mesa
WHO will love living in Clairemont Mesa?
Families who yearn for the quiet suburban lifestyle, while still being 15-25 minutes from their office in Sorrento Valley. Want a 3-bedroom, 2-bath house with a garage for your growing family, plus a front lawn and backyard for the dogs? Then, welcome home. Conveniently located between Interstates 5 and 805 freeways, plus California State Route 163, Clairemont is also perfect if you’d rather not spend a chunk of your commute just making it onto the freeway entrance.
WHAT will you see?
Houses, houses, and more houses. Plus, all the stores and chain eateries you’ll ever need and want. All the major retailers live here, including Target, Walmart, Marshalls, Home Depot, Kohl’s, etc. In between, you’ll find schools and community parks to play ball and have a picnic.
WHERE will you eat?
Mom and Pop restaurants with dim sum, ramen, sushi, dumplings, Korean BBQ, Taiwanese noodles, Chinese noodles, Vietnamese noodles. Suffice to say, if you’re not already obsessed with Asian food, you will be. Packed with up to 100 Asian eateries, Convoy Street is San Diego’s unofficial Asian Restaurant Row. Everyone in San Diego agrees – the Asian food here is so good and so authentic, you’ll want to tell your mom about it. Our faves? Phuong Trang, Tajima, Dumpling Inn-Shanghai Saloon, and Spicy City.
HOW will you spend your time?
You won’t find a lively nightlife and bar scene here, though there are some gems (we’re looking at you, Realm of 52 Remedies and Common Theory Public House). Instead, you’ll enjoy tending to your garden, walking your dog in the park or attending your kid’s baseball games. As one resident and software developer attests, “Clairemont is in the heart of all the action, without any action.”
WHY you’ll love living here?
One word: Convenience. Clairemont sits in a prime spot in San Diego. Hop on over to Mission Bay, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and La Jolla without ever having to jump on a freeway. When you need to travel further, you’re just a few minutes to several freeways. Plus, when coworkers want to try that new ramen spot on Convoy, you’ll be the first person they call to join them.
