The real Super Bowl winner: San Diego
Feb 15, 2022 - Candela Delucchi
Along with an incredible matchup and iconic halftime show, this year’s Super Bowl featured ads from some of San Diego’s coolest companies. With some 30-second clips going for as much as $7 million this year, Super Bowl commercial slots don’t come easily…but we think you’ll agree San Diegans made the most of their ad spend.
From tech startups to biotech giants, these four San Diego companies dazzled the flatscreen during America’s most-watched television program:
1. Cue Health
Medical device company Sorrento Valley-based Cue Health teamed up with award-winning actress and producer Gal Gadot to bring its COVID-19 test to life in its inaugural Super Bowl commercial.
2. Hologic
Even someone as busy as the Mary J. Blige can take time for her annual health screening, as the singer-songwriter stands up to cancer in Sorrento Valley-based Hologic’s ad.
3. ClickUp
Stop organizing like it’s 1776. Join East Village-based ClickUp and travel back in time to declare independence from work stress.
4. Cutwater Spirits
Mira Mesa-based Cutwater Spirits celebrates the everyday ingenuity of those who work smarter, not harder, and enjoy the convenience of its bar-quality ready-to-be-enjoyed cocktails.
