Carlsbad Checks All Boxes for Tech Companies

Feb 22, 2018 -

Home to tech giant Viasat Inc., it’s no surprise that other tech companies have followed suit and set roots in San Diego’s city of Carlsbad.  This North County coastal gem has established itself as a burgeoning tech hub for entrepreneurs and startups alike, with nearly 100 startups emerging from 2014 to 2016 according to CONNECT. Many have attributed it to the quality of life and cool collaborative workspaces popping up throughout the city.

The Make campus is a prime example of these kinds of unique workspaces, sitting just 400 yards from the beach and including a café, fitness center and other areas that stimulate collaboration (like the sweet outdoor amphitheater pictured above). Make is home to several forward thinking tech companies that value a higher quality experience for their employees, such as GoPro and Verve.
